Back in 2016, I got really curious about the compatibility between Aquarius and Aries. I mean, I had a couple of friends, one an Aquarius and the other an Aries, and I was like, “Let’s see how they’d click.”
First off, I started by observing their personalities. The Aquarius friend was super independent, always coming up with these wild and crazy ideas. Like, one day he just decided to build a homemade telescope in his backyard. The Aries friend, on the other hand, was full of energy and always up for a challenge. He’d see a mountain and immediately want to climb it.
I then began to look at how they interacted in group settings. At parties, the Aquarius would be the one chatting with everyone, sharing his out – there theories, while the Aries would be organizing some kind of impromptu game or competition. Sometimes, the Aries would get impatient with the Aquarius’s long – winded explanations, and the Aquarius would think the Aries was too hasty.
To dig deeper, I set up a few one – on – one hangouts for them. They went on a camping trip together. The Aries was all about setting up the tent right away and starting a fire, while the Aquarius was more interested in looking at the stars and talking about the universe. But as the trip went on, I noticed they started to learn from each other. The Aries got more in touch with his creative side when the Aquarius showed him how to make a makeshift fishing rod out of sticks. And the Aquarius got a boost of motivation from the Aries to actually get things done instead of just thinking about them.

Over time, I realized that while they had their differences, their compatibility was actually pretty good. According to some astrologers, Aquarius and Aries can form a dynamic duo. The Aquarius’s innovative thinking can inspire the Aries, and the Aries’s drive can push the Aquarius to take action. In my observation, they became really good friends by the end of 2016, and they still hang out to this day.
So, if you’ve got an Aquarius and an Aries in your life, don’t be too quick to assume they won’t get along. Give them a chance, and you might just be surprised by how well they can complement each other.
