Back in 2018, I got really into checking out the love compatibility between Aquarius and Aries. I mean, I had a buddy who was an Aquarius and his crush was an Aries, so I thought it’d be fun to dig into this stuff.
I started by hitting up all the astrology websites. I was clicking, scrolling, and reading like crazy. I read all those general descriptions about how Aquarius is this free – spirited, intellectual type, and Aries is a bold, fiery one. It was like getting to know two different characters in a story.
Then, I decided to take it a step further. I found some astrology books at the local library. I was lugging those heavy books around, flipping through the pages, looking for anything related to Aquarius – Aries love matches. There were all these charts and graphs, and I was trying to make sense of them. It was like solving a puzzle.
I also talked to some people I knew who were into astrology. I was asking them questions left and right, like “What do you think about an Aquarius and Aries together?” They’d share their own experiences and theories. One of them even told me about a couple they knew who were an Aquarius – Aries pair, and how they were always either super in love or having these huge fights.

After all this research, I went back to my buddy. I sat him down and told him all the stuff I’d found out. I said, “Look, it might be a wild ride, but if you two click, it could be amazing.” He was really into it and decided to go for it with his Aries crush.
Well, they did start dating. And it was just like what I’d read and heard. There were times when they were inseparable, having these deep, intellectual conversations one minute and then going on these spontaneous adventures the next. But there were also times when their different personalities clashed. The Aries’ impatience would get on the Aquarius’ nerves, and the Aquarius’ need for space would make the Aries feel ignored.
Overall, it was a real – life experiment in love compatibility. It taught me that while astrology can give us some clues, every relationship is unique. You can’t just rely on the stars; you’ve got to put in the work and understand each other. And as for my buddy, he’s still with that Aries, and they’re learning to balance each other out, which is pretty cool.
