So last weekend I dug out my old astrology notes for Aries season – totally forgot I’d scribbled down those March 2025 predictions ages ago. Felt like finding hidden treasure in my messy desk drawer, y’know?
Getting My Stuff Together
First thing Monday morning, I cleared off the coffee table – pushed aside that half-empty mug and yesterday’s mail. Grabbed my plain notebook, a red pen (gotta match that Aries fire vibe!), and my phone for the music app. Threw on some ambient spacey sounds, cracked open the window ’cause the neighbor was mowing his lawn, obviously.
Actually Doing the Thing
Started re-reading my own messy notes. They basically said: Don’t charge ahead blind this month, Aries. Stop. Breathe. Then look left. Made me laugh. Typical me advice, ignoring my own advice. Anyways. I sat cross-legged right there on the rug, back against the couch cushion. Closed my eyes. Tried to just… chill. Felt super awkward at first. Brain kept buzzing like “Did you email Dave back?” and “Ooh leftover pizza…”. Shoved those thoughts aside, gritted my teeth, focused harder. Started picturing that fiery Aries ram just… standing still. Not charging. Weird image.

Wrote down three things popping into my head:
- That solo project idea I keep avoiding? Time to map Step 1. No giant leaps.
- Check-in with Sarah – actually listen this week. Don’t just steamroll.
- Scan the side paths – missed opportunities maybe hiding where I’m not looking?
Putting It into Play (Sort Of)
Tuesday came around. Had a project meeting. Usually I’m the first one shouting ideas. This time? Bit my tongue. Let others talk. Actually heard James mention some client changes that affect my timeline. Huh. Would’ve totally bulldozed past that last month. Felt weird staying quiet. Later, skimmed my old contacts list. Found that local vendor guy I met once. Sent a quick “Hey still making those widgets?” email. Felt random, but hey, looking left.
What Actually Stuck
By Friday, realized I hadn’t fully tackled Sarah or project planning. Old habits die hard, right? But that vendor guy emailed BACK! Turns out his prices dropped. Score. And noticing that meeting detail saved me redoing work. Small wins. Biggest takeaway? Slowing my roll feels like walking through syrup, but maybe syrup catches stuff speed misses. Gotta keep practicing the “stop, breathe, look left” bit. Feels clunky, but something’s shifting. Notebook’s staying open on the table as a reminder.
